| 1 | navel orange, sliced | ||

| 2 | ripe peaches, cut into wedges | ||
|

| 3 | ripe plums, cut into wedges | ||
|

| 2 | cinnamon sticks | ||
|

									|||
| 1 | bottle | (750 ml) red Rioja or other dry red wine | |

| Sparkling water, chilled | |||

									|||
Combine sugar, rum, orange liqueur, fruits, and cinnamon sticks in a large pitcher. Stir to dissolve sugar. Pour in wine, cover and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight. 
Just before serving, spoon fruits from pitcher into tall glasses, add ice, and pour over spiced wine. Top glasses of Sangria off with a splash of soda water
